Why We Built It

As a Minnesota dad who flooded backyard rinks every winter, I wanted a hat that kept my kids warm and added thoughtful cushioning when they weren’t wearing helmets.

Nothing on the market blended real winter warmth with discreet impact-assist design — so we built one.

• One occipital zone positioned at the back of the head

PORON XRD® is a flexible performance material used in elite sports equipment and high-impact applications. It remains soft during normal wear and firms momentarily under sudden force.
