Why We Built It

As a Minnesota dad who built backyard rinks every winter, I wanted a hat that kept my kids warm and added a little peace of mind when they weren’t wearing helmets. Nothing on the market blended warmth, comfort, and discreet padding — so I made it myself.

Impact-Assist Padding (Poron XRD®)

The PondCraft Beanie™ uses soft-flex Poron XRD® pads strategically placed to help reduce the force of everyday bumps and falls:

• Occipital pad: 9.5mm skived design
  
  

Poron XRD® is used in NHL gloves, ski helmets, and military applications — now adapted for smart winter headwear.
